Coverage

Sacramento city and the surrounding metro: Elk Grove, Roseville, Folsom, Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Carmichael and nearby communities. Not sure you're covered? Call โ€” if your address is outside the dispatch area, you'll be told straight away.

What Happens When You Call

No forms, no callback queue. The sequence is short:

  1. You describe the problem. A sentence or two is enough โ€” what the system is doing, and where in the metro you are.
  2. We match you to an available licensed contractor. Routing depends on your area and what the job needs; a no-cooling call in a heat wave and a planned replacement quote are different calls.
  3. The contractor takes it from there. They confirm timing and pricing with you directly. Scheduling, the work itself and the warranty are between you and them.

Calling costs nothing. Contractors pay to receive calls from this site; you never pay us. See how this works and our terms.

If the System Is Down in a Heat Wave

Sacramento Valley summers regularly run into triple digits, and a failed AC stops being an inconvenience quickly โ€” particularly for older adults, infants, anyone with a chronic condition and pets. Before anything else:

  • Get to a cooler space if the house is climbing. A single air-conditioned room, a neighbour, a library or a mall all work. Sacramento County opens cooling centres during extreme heat events; 211 is the standard local line for current locations.
  • Hydrate and stay out of direct sun. Heat illness escalates faster indoors than people expect when the AC has been off for hours.
  • Check the two things that are free before you call: the breaker for the outdoor unit, and the air filter. A tripped breaker and a filter choked with valley dust and pollen are the two most common causes of a system that stops cooling without actually being broken.
  • Don't keep restarting a unit that trips repeatedly. A breaker tripping more than once is a symptom, not a nuisance, and cycling it can turn a cheap fix into an expensive one.
  • Say if someone in the house is vulnerable. It affects how the call is prioritised, and it is worth stating plainly rather than hoping it is inferred.

Before the Technician Arrives

A few minutes of preparation reliably shortens the visit โ€” which matters on any job billed by time:

  • Clear access to the outdoor condenser, the indoor air handler or furnace, and the thermostat. Move vehicles if the equipment is in or behind the garage.
  • Secure pets, and have gate codes ready if you're in a gated community.
  • Know the system's rough age and whether it has been serviced or repaired before. On a home built in the 1990s or 2000s, whether the equipment is original is often the first useful fact.
  • Note what changed and when โ€” a noise, a smell, warm air, a breaker trip, water around the indoor unit. The pattern narrows the diagnosis faster than the symptom alone.
  • Ask for the price before work starts, and ask what the diagnostic fee covers and whether it is credited against the repair.

If Something Goes Wrong

We stand behind the work our technicians do. If a job goes badly:

  1. Raise it with us in writing first. Most disputes end there, and most warranty terms require you to give us the opportunity to make it right.
  2. Check what you were given in writing before work started โ€” scope, price and warranty terms.
  3. Escalate to the regulator if needed. California HVAC contractors are licensed by the Contractors State License Board, which handles complaints against licensees and lets you verify any licence number before work begins.

Telling us about a bad experience is useful too โ€” it's how we improve.
